Retail Stores

Interested in making $1,000 a week without stepping outside your house?

If so, consider creating partnerships with different retail stores.  You’ll make less profit on each sale but someone else is doing all the selling for you.  This works great with gift shops, golf pro shops, fishing shops, sporting good stores, etc…  Set up 30 stores and it adds up pretty quickly!  Here’s basically how this works.

Contact a store owner. Perhaps make up a print with the owner’s name on it.  Perhaps drop off a catalog.  Figure out how many prints the store would carry.  For example a golf pro shop would carry the Golf-M, Golf-F and Golf Couple.  A gift store on the other hand might carry the entire line.

Figure out what kind of profit you can offer the store. Remember, you have NO overhead at all so don’t be greedy.  I would make sure the store can make a 100% markup.  In other words if the store is going to sell a matted print for $12 than you have to sell it to the store for no more than $6.  You also need to figure out how quickly you can deliver the prints back to the store. Or maybe you might want to ship the prints directly to the customer.  That might make it an easier sell for the store but who’s going to absorb the shipping cost?  How are you going to get the orders? Remember you need to make it as easy for the store owner as possible.  They probably don’t want you waltzing in every other day asking for orders!  Do you have a fax machine? E-mail? Can the store call you when they have a sale?  One other way is for us to set up the Friendly Folks software on location so the store owner can create the pictures on the spot.  Call us for details on how this works.

Figure out what kind of display you’re going to set up. This depends, of course, on how much space the store owner is willing to give up.  Whatever it is make sure you have pictures displayed with high quality oak frames.  A couple of signs would be nice with clearly marked prices.  Make sure you offer brochures with either your name/address or the stores.

Karate schools, ballet schools, flight schools, etc..
These kind of establishments are more likely to order large quantities of keychains, magnets or prints for each one of their students.  How about a pilot print for everyone who gets their license?  Or a karate print with the color of the belt filled in every time a student moves to the next level? How about a chef print for everyone who graduates from cooking school?  The possibilities are limitless!  Remember the key here is volume. Offer a fair price to the school or company and you’ll develop a lot of customers.

Realtors
I wanted to put this in a separate category because we’ve had tremendous success with Realtor’s.   We have dealers who sell them a personalized picture for $5 and they give it to their potential customers who are thinking about renting or buying a property.  The feedback we’ve been getting is that the Realtor’s have a much higher retention rate after they’ve given a customer a picture.  In other words, their potential customers are less likely to use another Realtor.  One Realtor wrote to us and told us that Friendly Folks has been an “valuable tool” for his business.

If you want to sign up multiple Realtors with Friendly Folks, just remember to keep them in different towns.  If you can offer some sort of exclusivity to the Realtor’s, they’ll be much more interested in making this business arrangement long term.

Hospitals and Hospital Gift Shops

We’re very excited to announce that some dealers are having success at getting placed into hospitals.

We will be putting a guide to getting Friendly Folks placed in  hospitals on our Dealer Resource Center.  But basically, here’s how it works:

Hospital Gift Shops

With a Friendly Folks display set up in a hospital gift shop, you have access to a steady flow of customers looking for a cute and uplifting gift to cheer up their friend or family member.  What could be better than an adorable Friendly Folks cartoon to bring a smile to someone’s face?  Now just imagine making $4 a picture PROFIT without having to do anything.  That’s what some dealers are doing.  And now they’re expanding into 5-10 hospitals.  This is a new idea and I think one that will be very promising at creating a very healthy amount of profit for our dealers.

Maternity Wards

Just think of how many babies are born every day!  Imagine if you could arrange to have a hospital give a Friendly Folks cartoon to every new baby born.  Imagine doing that with 5-10 hospitals.  That’s exactly what some of our dealers are doing and we’re making the exact formula they’ve been using available on our Dealer Resource Center for free.  It includes everything, from who to contact, what to say, what kind of letter to send and how to structure pricing and creating the cartoons.

Call the office for additional details and to check that no one else in your area is already doing this.
